Starglaze Shortlisted Four Times In Regional Awards

Starglaze Windows and Conservatories has been shortlisted for four categories in this year’s LincolnshireLive Business Awards, demonstrating the fabricator’s commitment to the investment in its workforce, and its technical innovation.

Starglaze has been shortlisted for the Education, Training and Skills Award, the Employee of the Year Award, the Family Business of the Year Award, and the Innovation Award.

“Being shortlisted in four categories at these prestigious regional awards is a fantastic achievement for everyone at Starglaze, and is a real reflection of the hard work and investment that everyone has put into the business to improve productivity and ensure our customers receive the best possible service,” Mike Parczuk, Managing Director of Starglaze, said.

Key to this, and recognised by being shortlisted in the Education, Training and Skills category, is the company’s Family Principles and Training and Development Framework, which underpins many of the window fabricator’s business functions.

Having been awarded Silver Investors in People in October 2020 the company’s vision is to attain Gold, something that only 19% of business achieve. To meet this ambitious goal, Sternfenster has created a series of bespoke training and development initiatives for its staff, who will in turn will drive the success of the business.

Technical Trades Manager Kev Wallis has been shortlisted as Employee of the Year, thanks to a lifetime of hard work, loyalty, and a commitment to perfection.

“Our business would be very different today had we not had Kev,” Mike said. “He has been fundamental to the growth and continued development of our business, our colleagues, and our customers for many many years, and we are all fortunate that there is only one Kev and I’m very grateful that we have him.”

Starglaze was shortlisted in the Innovation Award category thanks to its investment in a new virtual showroom, which gives it greater control of the sales process. The virtual showroom is a multi-tiered platform that includes elements such as CGI videos, 360º product walkthroughs, sales videos, and a friendly online tour. The £40,000 investment provides the tools to effortlessly manage leads from enquiry through to sale, and demonstrates the company’s commitment to technological advancement.

The Family Business of the Year category shortlist also recognises these significant developments within the company at a time when supply shortages and increased demand have driven many other businesses to distraction. Starglaze is also committed to continued ongoing investment in people, machinery, and product development, which will help provide a solid foundation for future success.

The LincolnshireLive Business Awards, in partnership with the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, gives companies of all sizes within the region a chance to be recognised for of the work they do. The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday October 20 at the Lincolnshire Showground, when the winners will be announced.
